The Forty-Eighters

"The Forty-Eighters" is a planned four-novel series that follows the Zimmer family from the False French Alarm in 1848 to their exile from the German Confederation in 1854. These ordinary men and women become free-thinking, freedom fighters as they struggle to survive extraordinary historical events.
